Quicksilver Bullets ❘ 水銀弾	Consumable

In-Game Description Special bullets used with hunter firearms. Ordinary bullets have no effect on beasts, and so Quicksilver Bullets, fused with the wielder's own blood, must be employed. The strength of Quicksilver Bullets depends greatly upon the wielder's bloodtinge. Note 1: The same in-game description in US & UK versions. ✓ Note 2: Original Japanese text on Original Japanese Item Index page. ✓ Effects These bullets are made by the hunter that uses them, specifically to take down beasts of the scourge. Even so, they are rarely enough to slay a beast, so you'll go through them in large quantities on your hunts. By default you'll carry a maximum of 20 bullets, but this number can be augmented with Caryll Runes later in the game, increasing the total to a maximum of 25. If number is blue (HUD) it means you have reached maximum Quicksilver Bullets you can hold [pic]. Most sidearms consume a single bullet per shot, but there are some exceptions, such as the Repeating Pistol requiring two bullets per shot, and the Cannon, which uses up 12 bullets to deliver a single, powerful blast. Arcane items also consume Quicksilver Bullets for their various effects, and again the rate of consumption varies from 1 bullet to 7. The Quicksilver Bullets in your inventory are replenished when you die or you warp back to the Hunter's Dream, but they are taken from your stock. These are not free refills. If you run out of bullets in your stock, your inventory won't be replenished. You'll need to collect or buy more. You'll often find these bullets after defeating beasts, so you can usually maintain a good supply of them, as long as you don't use them too carelessly. If you do run out, there's always Blood Bullets (press UP).
