HUD

Notes

Day
  • HUD: In video gaming, the HUD (head-up display) is the method by which information is visually relayed to the player as part of a game's user interface.

  • Status Ailments are often more deadly than normal attacks. It is always better to avoid such affliction, as curing ailments in the middle of a battle can be tricky. Still, you will inevitably need to deal with status ailments at some point. When you are exposed to a status ailment, its associated bar will begin to fill up; when it is completely full, the status will be inflicted. You can cure it before the bar fills to prevent the ailment. Exception to the rule is Oil ailment which happens when you are hit by Oil Urn or standing in oil.

  • Blood Gems are, to a certain extent, random. Behind the scenes, each gem has a budget of points. Every positive effect that is added to a gem takes points from the budget, and every negative effect adds points back. What this means is that gems with negative effects can also have stronger positive effects. These are known as "Cursed" gems; they're powerful but have a downside.

Item Sent To Storage
Items in the player inventory can be placed in storage. Each item in the player inventory is limited by a maximum capacity. Acquired items that exceed the maximum capacity for that item are automatically sent to storage. The icon next to the item you pick up will be a box (IMAGE), indicating it's going to storage. When you die, the game automatically replenishes your Quicksilver Bullets and Blood Vials supplies from your storage.
