Cainhurst Vilebloods Cainhurst Vilebloods
Adversary to Executioners
Cont. heal near death +1 PvP Pledgers to this oath are Cainhurst Vilebloods, hunters of blood who find dregs for their Queen in coldblood, particularly in that of hunters. Yet the corrupt are heretics in the eyes of the Church, and thus subject to the wrath of the Executioners.

Hunter of Hunters Hunter of Hunters
Adversary to blood addled hunters

Notes

  • Player belongs to the covenant as long as "Oath" Caryll Rune is equipped. You can switch freely between covenants by equipping respecting "Oath" Caryll Rune. Runes are: "Corruption" for Cainhurst Vilebloods, "Radiance" for Executioners, "Hunter" for Hunter of Hunters, "Impurity" for The League, "Beast's Embrace" for Beast and "Milkweed" for Lumenwood.
  • Factional Conflict: Your Oath Memory Slot marks your factional alignment. There are four possible Oath types: 'Corruption' for Vileblood, 'Radiance' for Executioner, 'Hunter' for Hunter of Hunters, and 'None'. Executioner and Vileblood are naturally opposed to each other, and Hunter of Hunters has a set chance to oppose players with any of affiliations. By using the Sinister Resonant Bell, you have a 5% chance of becoming a "Blood Addled" Hunter, which is in opposition to Hunter of Hunters. If you attempt to join a co-op session as a guest and the host is a member of an opposing faction, you will instead be summed with the task of killing the host as a nemesis. For example, if you bear the Radiance Rune and the server's matchmaking pairs you with a player bearing Corruption, you will be summoned as a nemesis, even if you intended to join co-op play! Similar to using the Sinister Resonant Bell, the rewards for killing the host are 10% of the Blood Echoes they require to level up and 1 point of Insight.
  • When connecting via Small Resonant Bell to a host with the Hunter Rune equipped, both Executioners and Vilebloods will enter the world as an adversary, the message "Discovered the chime of a Beckoning Bell, but the beckoner is a Vileblood/Executioner, and thus an adversary" appearing shortly before.
  • By using any password, the game will connect a player with the Radiance, Corruption or Hunter Rune only to a host suitable to become an adversary (or any host with a matching password as usual).
