Key Item

In-Game Description

Badge of a hunter of hunters, who hunts those who have
    become addled with blood.

The badge of the hunter of hunters is quietly passed down
from generation to generation, usually to an outsider from
    the hinterlands.

To be entrusted with this cursed badge, one must be strong,
resilient to the seduction of blood, and gracious when taking
    a comrade's life.

  • Crow Hunter Badge will make Blade of Mercy and entire Crowfeather Set available for sale, providing you with one of the fastest weapons in the game.

  • Badges are proof of your achievements and can be shown to the Bath Messengers and Insight Bath Messengers in the Hunter's Dream to expand the shop inventory. You'll sometimes find these valuable relics on the bodies of the fallen, but you may also receive them from other hunters. Obtaining certain badges will add extremely useful and important items to the shop's lineup, so it's worth going out of your way to find them.

  • The Bath Messengers are the most straightforward of the game's merchants; they can be found in the lower bath in the Hunter's Dream from the start of the game, and offer you the options to buy and sell items. By acquiring new badges, the Bath Messengers shop will start filling with new messengers in the bath. Each badge adds unique messenger alongside with new sortiment for you to buy. Crow Hunter Badge adds Messenger with throwing knife.

Availability

  • Acquired from (Main Story): Eileen the Crow, speak to her after defeating the Blood Crow of Cainhurst thus finishing her quest.
  • Dropped by (Main Story): Eileen the Crow, kill her at any point of her quest.

Notes

  • Unlocks Blade of Mercy and Crowfeather Set for purchase at Bath Messengers.
  • Upon starting New Game+ Crow Hunter Badge will stay in your inventory. Other Key Items (except for other Badges, Blood Gem Workshop Tool, Rune Workshop Tool, Short Ritual Root Chalice, Workshop Haze Extractor and Ring of Betrothal) you acquired on your previous playthrough will be stripped away and you'll need to collect them again.
