Wheelchair Huntsman (Gatling Gun) ❘ 車椅子の群集

Regular Enemy

Description

  • Wheelchair-bound residents of Yharnam equipped with various firearms, these enemies are barely mobile and unable to do anything but shoot - they effectively act as stationary gun turrets. What they lack in mobility, however, they more than make up for in firepower. Due to the ranged nature of most of their attacks, they are most threatening when they see you coming from a distance and you're forced to close in while under fire. Once you do get close, however, their lack of melee attack and very slow turning ability means that they're all but defenseless. Those using pistols and rifles have an extremely long reload time between each shot around 5 seconds), so once you see them fire you'll know you have a small window of opportunity to close in and get to the side of them, where it's safe.
  • Wheelchair Huntsmen with gatling guns can pack a deadly punch and are able to fire sustained bursts at an incredible rate. Each round that hits you will cause you to flinch, making it difficult to escape once they've got you in their sights, so rather than running straight at them, it's best to approach at an angle so that their shots miss. Unlike the other Wheelchair Huntsmen, the ones armed with flamesprayers have no means of hitting you at long range, but they are a serious threat at mid range. When you get close, they'll spray jets of fire in sweeping frontal arcs, which are wide enough to reach you if you're standing beside them, so make sure you get right round to their back once you get close.

Strategy

  • These enemies are most dangerous at long range, where they have enough room and time to start shooting at you. Observe them carefully before you move in and try to bait them into firing, then hide until they stop to reload; try to use any available cover to block their fire as you approach. Once you get past their long-range barrage, they're completely helpless; a couple of R1 attacks will finish them. Alternately, if they have you pinned down and unable to advance, a Molotov or a couple of Throwing Knives will finish them off from a distance; their health is low enough that even normal pistol shots are effective for this purpose.

Variants

Basic variant found throughout Yharnam. Blood variant summoned by Bell Ringer in Yahar'gul.

Notes

  • All enemies and bosses (except hunter enemies) have 999 frenzy resistance, despite that they are still vulnerable to such status. The only way to see it without modding is to use Shaman Bone Blade on enemy inflicting frenzy to attack others. [test video]
Wheelchair Huntsman (Gatling Gun)
Pungent Blood Cocktails don't attract this enemy, making the item ineffective.
Shaman Bone Blades affect this enemy, making it hostile to other enemies.
