In-Game Description Small medicinal tablets that counteract poison. Used to treat ashen blood, the baffling sickness that ravaged Old Yharnam long ago. These tablets only provide short-term relief. The ashen blood ailment eventually triggered the spread of the beastly scourge. Note 1: The same in-game description in US & UK versions. ✓ Note 2: Original Japanese text on Original Japanese Item Index page. ✓ Effects Removes poison ailments. Whenever you are venturing into poisonous swamps or fighting enemies like the Blood-starved Beast, keep some equipped to your quick items and ready-to-use. You can hold 10 at one time, and you can keep 99 in storage. Always stock up! Status Ailments are often more deadly than normal attacks. It is always better to avoid such affliction, as curing ailments in the middle of a battle can be tricky. Still, you will inevitably need to deal with status ailments at some point. When you are exposed to a status ailment, its associated bar will begin to fill up; when it is completely full, the status will be inflicted. You can cure it before the bar fills to prevent the ailment. Note that Rapid Poisoning (and Frenzy) must be cured before the HP Loss occurs, as the damage is instantaneous. This means that fighting foes that inflict either of these requires you to be very careful. Sometimes, if you haven't used an Antidote or Sedative before engaging them, it might already be too late. If an enemy kills you very quickly and you're unsure why, these status ailments are possibly the cause. Notes Available for purchase after obtaining Sword Hunter Badge. It is also possible to obtain Antidote from special Mergo's Attendant (Unarmed) that is internally called Toilet Man 便所男 and will drop item every ~60 seconds after death with this drop table: Antidote - 30%; Beast Blood Pellet - 9%; Coldblood Dew (1) - 30%; Coldblood Dew (2) - 20%; Coldblood Dew (3) - 10%; Blood Dreg - 1%. No enemy within Chalice Dungeons drops Antidote.
