Fire Paper ❘ 発火ヤスリ	Consumable

In-Game Description Coarse paper that applies fire to weapons when rubbed. A hunter tool found in the Healing Church workshop. Since the tragedy that struck Old Yharnam, fire has become a staple in beast hunts, and is thought to cleanse impurity. Certain types of beasts have an abnormal fear of flame. Note 1: The same in-game description in US & UK versions. ✓ Note 2: Original Japanese text on Original Japanese Item Index page. ✓ Effects When used, Fire Paper sets your weapon on fire In addition to looking really cool, this adds 80 points of fire damage to every attack that you do. This is a flat 80 points; it doesn't matter how fast or slow, or strong or weak your attack is Every attack gets 80 additional points of fire damage. This means that weapons that attack quickly and cost little stamina gain more benefit from Fire Paper than slow, stamina-expensive weapons do. The Reiterpallasch is one good choice; it has fast, low-stamina attacks. More interestingly, the bullets it fires in transformed mode benefit from the paper! As a result, you can actually shoot fire damage bullets. The Threaded Cane and the Stake Driver are also good choices, as are the normal modes of the Kirkhammer and Ludwig's Holy Blade. You cannot use Fire Paper with the following weapons: Burial Blade, Blade of Mercy, Chikage, Rifle Spear, Tonitrus, Logarius' Wheel, Holy Moonlight Sword, Boom Hammer, Amygdalan Arm, Kos Parasite, Simon's Bowblade, Bloodletter. Weapons with elemental gems also cannot be used. Use Fire Paper on your weapon when you fight a tough enemy with low fire defense. Also take note that Oil Urns can boost the damage of Fire Paper, but each Oil Urn only works for one hit. This isn't a great use of Oil Urns; instead consider using Arianna's Blood for a stamina recovery boost. This will help you get the most out of your Fire Paper. Fire Paper's effect lasts for one minute, and you can hold 10 at once. Radiant Sword Hunter Badge: This badge can be found on the top of Healing Church Workshop. It is one of the most important badges to collect; obtaining it adds Bloodstone Shards to the shop's inventory, which will allow you to upgrade weapons easily. It also unlocks Fire Paper and Bone Marrow Ash; these are very useful support items. Notes Available for purchase after obtaining Radiant Sword Hunter Badge. Other buffs for your right-hand weapons are Bolt Paper [+80 Bolt DMG] & Empty Phantasm Shell [+80 Arcane DMG]. More effective with fast hitting weapons [+80 Fire DMG every hit]. Can be applied to Reiterpallasch, transformed mode shot bullets benefit from Fire Paper. Cannot be applied to weapons with elemental blood gems.
