Church Doctor (Threaded Cane & Repeating Pistol) ❘	Hunter Enemy

Description You'll encounter this Healing Church doctor on a platform in the Research Hall next to one of the NPC patients that drop Brain Fluid. Although he initially stands with his back to you, he will automatically detect your presence when you approach and will begin attacking with both forms of his Threaded Cane, occasional gunshots and the odd Poison Knife. He is quite aggressive and fighting him on the narrow staircase is particularly risky owing to the danger of falling, but this can also work to your advantage should he accidentally quickstep off the edge and fall to his death. Beware the long reach of his swings when he transforms the cane - the lack of room to maneuver makes it extremely difficult to avoid his horizontal whip attacks. Stats & Equipment Tables below consist of datamined stats and equipment, this specific information is for NPCs, hunters or less, that uses a player-like human model and skeleton, practically every NPC that can be equipped with player's gears. This is most easily accomplished with a single hit from the Beast Roar or a charged (R2) attack from the transformed Hunter Axe, but (R1) combos from faster weapons like the Blades of Mercy will usually stunlock him long enough to push him backward and off the edge. Interrupting his attacks is easier when he is using his weapon in cane mode; alternately, charged attacks from heavy weapons such as the Kirkhammer have enough super armor that they'll usually take precedence over his comparative lighter attacks and flatten him if timed correctly. Should the first hit of the Kirkhammer's transformed (R2) chain land, the followup will send him flying backward and virtually guarantees a kill if it connects when he has his back to a ledge. If you are equipped with A Call Beyond, you can target him with it before he detects your presence and position yourself at such an angle that the blasts will knock him off the platform without ever having to engage him directly. Notes This Enemy is part of The Old Hunters DLC. This hunter is the only enemy hunter in the game to be able to interact and attack "purple" adversaries, be it Executioner, Vileblood or Hunter of Hunters (but not red adversary). Pungent Blood Cocktails don't attract this enemy, making the item ineffective. Shaman Bone Blades affect this enemy, making it hostile to other enemies.
