Loran Silverbeast ❘ ローランの銀獣	Strong Enemy & Boss

Description In-game Name (multi-language) English: Loran Silverbeast; Japanese: ローランの銀獣; German: Loran-Silberbestie; Spanish: Fera Prateada de Loran; French: Bête Argentée de Loran; Italian: Belva Argentea di Loran Internal Name Japanese: 銀の獣の眷属; Translation: Kin of the Silverbeast Loran Silverbeasts move quickly and can cover vast distances with their lunge attacks. They have high physical defense, but extremely low health and are weak against fire. They also take extra damage from serrated weapons, such as the Saw Spear. These strange foes use basic combo attacks with their claws and torches when bipedal, and much faster forward lunges and claw swipes while on all fours; they can also mix their parasite attacks into their melee combos and will try to force you to abandon your attack chains using their Electric Burst. Their claws extend to well over a meter in length when they swipe at you, giving their swings much longer reach than the length of their arms; be sure to take this into account when dodging their attacks. Silverbeasts begin in their torch stance nearly every time you encounter them, and will switch to the unarmed stance when their health drops below 50%. In either stance, they can't attack directly behind themselves, making this the safest place to stand. Only the Silverbeasts in the Nightmare of Mensis will use their parasite attacks and Bile Spray. They will chase Pungent Blood Cocktails and are susceptible, though highly resistant, to poison. Beware that the Silverbeasts in the Nightmare of Mensis will spew out two Parasite Larvae upon death, unless the finishing blow was dealt by a fire attack or visceral attack. Main type of damage dealt by Loran Silverbeast is Physical, Fire, Bolt. Melee attacks are purely physical. More information about main damage types for all bosses are on Boss Damage Types wiki page. Strategy Fire attacks are the fastest way to eliminate Loran Silverbeasts, especially in the Nightmare of Mensis to prevent Parasite Larvae from bursting out of their corpses upon defeat. Use Fire Paper if your weapon allows it, or consider the Flamesprayer or the Hunter's Torch for the task. These foes can be interrupted and staggered, but doing so is difficult and largely impractical without Pungent Blood Cocktails; very few of their attacks are slow enough to reliably interrupt and the best opportunities to stagger them require you to get past their flame breath or forward leaps. Try to stay a short distance behind them in melee combat, especially when they switch to their unarmed stance; the hitbox of their unarmed lunge attack covers their entire body and lasts for the duration of the lunge, placing you at high risk of being hit if you stand too close, either beside or in front of them. Pungent Blood Cocktails attract this enemy, making it vulnerable for few seconds. Shaman Bone Blades affect this enemy, making it hostile to other enemies.
