In-Game Description

    Small pebbles found throughout Yharnam.

    Can be thrown at foes.

    Quite thrilling.
Note 1: The same in-game description in US & UK versions. ✓
Note 2: Original Japanese text on Original Japanese Item Index page. ✓

Effects

  • When locked-on, Pebbles are thrown toward the enemy in a forward arc. When not locked-on, the pebble will move in the direction your character is facing. The camera's orientation can also effect the height of the throw; you can use this to throw them over walls and other obstacles. For extra precision, you can use the Monocular for manual aim. Don't underestimate this rock star! Throughout your journey, you'll constantly encounter large groups of foes, and they'll often patrol around. Sneak up behind the group slowly, and lock-on to one of the enemies in the back of the group. Then, throw a Pebble This will get that enemy's attention without alerting his allies. In this fashion, you can fight the enemy one-on-one, rather than in large groups.
  • This trick doesn't work with gunfire; the sound of the shot alerts other enemies. Throwing Knives can be used for it, but they are better served as a source of ranged damage. Besides, you can hold 20 of these Pebbles; that's 20 enemies that you don't have to fight in a group! Just be mindful not to hit a gun-wielding enemy with a Pebble. They won't run to you; they'll just start shooting. Aim for a melee-only enemy, and then retreat back to safe location for an easy one-on-one fight.

Scaling

  • Scaling determines how much additional damage a tool deals. The tool stat bonus, indicated by a letter grade of S / A / B / C / D / E, and the character's stat's current level each correspond to a percentage value. These are multiplied together and against the tool base damage to determine the bonus damage received. Pebble has letter grade of A for Strength and D for Skill. In the table below you will find exact (datamined) AR values for featured character stats.
Strength Skill Bloodtinge Arcane AR (phys.) --
-- -- -- -- 20 --
10 10 -- -- 21.5 --
25 25 -- -- 35 --
25 50 -- -- 38.5 --
50 50 -- -- 45.5 --
99 99 -- -- 50 --
  • Pebble has 1 STR scaling and 0.5 SKL scaling.
  • Pebble has Base AR 20 Phys.

Notes

  • Eye Collector strong version has different drop rates from regular version: Pebble x6 [25%], Pebble x3 [51%].
