Brador, Church Assassin ❘ ブラドー

NPC

Description

Brador, a Healing Church assassin, had killed a compatriot.

Afterward, he wore his ally's own scalp, and hid himself
away, deep below in a cell. The Church provided him with a
single, soundless bell of death, to ensure their secrets would
    be kept.
  • An assassin of the Healing Church tasked with protecting the secrets hidden beyond the Hunter's Nightmare, Brador has been willingly locked away in the deepest cell of the Research Hall's prison for so long that his eccentric manner could be the result of eroding sanity or merely old age. He has seen many a comrade fall to the scourge of beasts and has freed at least one by his own hand, donning the bloodied hide as a testament and sequestering himself in the nightmare away from prying eyes. Although your progress into the Fishing Hamlet will eventually brand you his target, Brador is loath to claim another victim and will initially offer you a sincere warning to stay away. He will invade you in a total of four locations throughout the Fishing Hamlet and the Hunter's Nightmare, and will invade repeatedly in the same spots each time you return until you open his cell and kill him.

Location

  • Hunter's Nightmare Underground Cells, locked inside the inner chamber.

Stats & Equipment

  • Tables below consist of datamined stats and equipment, this specific information is for NPCs, hunters or less, that uses a player-like human model and skeleton, practically every NPC that can be equipped with player's gears. Some characters are equipped with items that they aren't programmed to use by the AI, such items are highlighted. All characters have infinite Quicksilver Bullets and 99 copies of any item they hold (including Blood Vials) and the only thing that prevents from infinitely consuming them is written in their AI script. For information about all characters visit Datamined NPCs Stats & Equipment wiki page.

Progression

1.
Hunter's Nightmare Underground Cell [Night / Blood Moon]
Speak to him through the door of his cell and answer either "I hear the bell" or "I hear nothing". Your choice has no effect on the quest other than eliciting different responses from Brador.
2.
Fishing Hamlet Flooded Village - Overlook [Night / Blood Moon]
Brador will invade at the far end of the first bridge past the Lighthouse Hut; defeat him and you will receive the Bloodied Arm Bands.
3.
Fishing Hamlet Flooded Village - Stilts [Night / Blood Moon]
Brador will invade when you exit through the scaffolding under the building; defeat him and you will receive the Beast Hide Garb.
4.
Fishing Hamlet Access Tunnel [Night / Blood Moon]
Brador will invade at the dead end branch of the cave leading back to the well; defeat him and you will receive the Bloodied Trousers.
5.
Hunter's Nightmare Underground Cells [Night / Blood Moon]
After you have obtained the key to his cell, Brador will invade at the top of the connecting stairwell when you return to the Underground Cells. Defeat him and you will receive Brador's Testimony.
6.
Hunter's Nightmare Underground Cells [Night / Blood Moon]
Kill Brador in his cell and he will drop the Bloodletter. Eliminating him here will also put an end to his constant invasions.
►
Hunter's Nightmare Underground Cells [Night / Blood Moon]
Alternatively if you finish Simon's quest (or reach Lighthouse Hut if you fail his quest) and receive Underground Cell Inner Chamber Key, running past his phantoms, you can enter his cell and kill him. By doing this Brador's phantoms won't appear, instead his attire pieces would be there in place of the phantoms.

Strategy

  • Brador will not defend himself when you enter his cell and any attack, even one pebble, will kill him. On strategy how to kill his phantoms go to Brador, Church Assassin wiki page.

Notes

  • This NPC is part of The Old Hunters DLC.
  • Brador's phantoms that you meet throughout Fishing Hamlet and in the Underground Cells area will not drop Blood Dreg if you equip Corruption Oath Rune. Only his body form locked in the Cell will yield this reward.
  • Character model of these phantoms is of much younger age than current Brador locked in his Cell. Showing us Brador of past in his prime.
