Small Celestial Emissary ❘ 星界からの使者	Regular Enemy

Description Small alien creatures with squid-like heads and mottled blue skin. They attack only with very basic slaps, shoves and flailing combos, but hit surprisingly hard for enemies their size and have extremely high defense. They are incredibly weak against thrust attacks, however, and Molotovs or Throwing Knives are a good way to damage them if you have no other means of dealing thrust damage. Many of their attacks are slow and give you plenty of time to interrupt them; they can also be staggered, but doing so is difficult because they recover quickly from their attacks and will usually turn to face you before you can strike them from behind with a charged R2 swing. Strategy Use thrust attacks to kill them quickly. A strong thrust attack from a weapon such as the Rifle Spear or Saw Spear, even non-upgraded, can kill them in a single hit. Throwing Knives are also useful if you need to kill them without getting close; two or three will usually be enough to do the job. Other types of damage will eventually wear them down, but doing so takes quite a bit longer. Interrupts are very effective and will allow you to finish them with a single visceral attack, regardless of your weapon's damage type. Staggering them from behind is much more difficult and should be avoided unless an obvious opportunity arises. The only way to see it without modding is to use Shaman Bone Blade on enemy inflicting frenzy to attack others. [test video] Boss support gives no Blood Echoes Celestial Emissaries have six fingers on one hand and seven on the other.

Pungent Blood Cocktails don't attract this enemy, making the item ineffective. Shaman Bone Blades affect this enemy, making it hostile to other enemies.

Multiplier A represents depth (1 - 5) of the chalice dungeon; multiplier B is layer (1 - 4) of the specific chalice dungeon; multiplier C is used when dungeon is Pthumeru Ihyll; multiplier D is for calculating blood echoes when additional curse rite is used.
