Timezone Manipulation

  • At this moment, it can be achieved only with disc version of the game and no patch installed so version 1.0. You will have to use Iosefka's Clinic Backdoor Skip into Forbidden Woods [patched v1.03] allowing you to jump from Central Yharnam into backyard of the Clinic closed behind the door which will give you instant access to Iosefka's Clinic back entrance and Forbidden Woods in Day time. This page will document all oddities and triggers encountered with this sequence breaking of the timezones.

  • UPDATE 02/03/20: Iosefka's Clinic new skip discovered by GiantCookieJar, functional on the latest Bloodborne patch (v1.09). This skip takes advantage of the forward momentum of the Scourge Beast's grab attack - the player is locked into an animation that can clip their character's body through walls. The skip will take you to the back of Iosefka's Clinic and allows you to visit the Forbidden Woods early or perform Timezone Manipulation.

How to perform the skip: 1. Since the Scourge Beast in Iosefka's Clinic doesn't respawn, it's essential that you don't kill it; 2. Get the Scourge Beast's attention and lure it all the way upstairs near the room where your character first wakes up; 3. Position yourself in the left corner and bait the beast's grab attack. Once it grabs you, rapidly mash the R2 and L2 buttons; 4. If done correctly, you will clip through the wall and out of bounds. Hug the wall on your left and run forward as if going downstairs. Turn right just as you reach the bottom of the stairs. You'll see that you are now in the back area of the clinic. Continue walking on top of the wall until you can safely drop on the ground nearby the well and Brainsucker. Demonstration: [Demonstration by GiantCookieJar]

  • Progression route was Day ► Iosefka's Clinic Skip ► Blood Moon ► Evening ► Nighttime; alternatively ending game with Evening. (now possible on current patch)
  • Another progression route was Day ► Evening ► Vicar Amelia Skip ► Blood Moon ► Nighttime (possible on current patch)
  • [reddit] Reversing the Blood Moon Stream Discoveries by NovaTheLoneHunter, (current patch)
