    Large prototype firearms fashioned by the workshop
    heretics, the Powder Kegs.

    Use of this weapon is equivalent to toting a mounted
    cannon, complete with its ridiculous weight, staggering
    kick, and lavish use of Quicksilver Bullets, into battle.

    Such a monstrosity was doomed from the start, and
    indeed its development was cut short. Yet, against
    impossibly gigantic foes, it might be just the thing.

Overview

  • The Cannon is capable of the strongest attacks in Bloodborne, but it consumes 12 Quicksilver Bullets per shot and has high stat requirements. If you are using a high strength character, this weapon is the ultimate perk. It does excellent damage, even from range, and it can be strengthened even further by using Bone Marrow Ash or attacking staggered enemies to deal double damage. This weapon is an absolute boss-killer; if you are struggling with an enemy, this weapon can be your last hope. Remember to make some Blood Bullets before firing each shot!

Availability

  • Treasure in (Main Story): Forbidden Woods; inside Large Windmill in the upper floor near shortcut. If you need further assistance to find the weapon, you can follow the Forbidden Woods Map.
  • Sold by: Bath Messengers [Hunter's Dream]

Notes

  • Patch 1.03 changed from ver. 1.02, QS Bullet cost from 10 to 12
  • If you use Blood Bullets by tapping UP button prior each shot you can shoot the Cannon twice
  • If you use all three Formless Oedon (Max QS bullets held UP +5, +4, +3) Caryll Runes you can shoot up to 4 times with using Blood Bullets prior each shot.
  • Alternatively you can replenish your bullets by using Oedon Writhe Caryll Runes (Visceral ATKs grant QS bullets +3, +2, +1)
  • Even though it deals higher amount of damage than Church Cannon it is considered worse choice in all aspects other than for staggering large enemies. Cannon has slower reload time, projectile explodes mid air not upon impact and it costs two more bullets to shoot.

Scaling
Scaling determines how much additional damage a weapon deals. You gain a percentage of the weapon's base damage as additional damage, indicated by a "+" next to the weapon's base damage.

The Blunderbuss' animation takes 60 frames total, while Ludwig's Rifle and the Piercing Rifle take 65 frames. ► Both cannons have a muzzle flash and fire their projectiles on frame 15. The Cannon animation takes 95 frames total, and the Church Cannon animation takes 75. ► The Flamesprayer and the Rosmarinus begin firing on frame 6. The Gatling Gun begins firing after 18 frames. Firing a single shot from the Flamesprayer or Rosmarinus lasts 20 frames total. Firing a single shot from the Gatling Gun takes 45 frames total.

Special Attack

The Damage stat dictates how much damage the weapon does. The Damage stats for a weapon are V / W / X / Y / Z:
  • V is Physical damage
  • W is Blood damage
  • X is Arcane damage
  • Y is Fire damage
  • Z is Bolt damage
The Requirements determines how high various Stats must be in order to wield the weapon effectively. The Requirement stats for a weapon are W / X / Y / Z:
  • W is the Strength required
  • X is the Skill required
  • Y is the Bloodtinge required
  • Z is the Arcane required
The Stat Bonuses rating indicates the level of bonus you receive based on the associated Stat when you use a weapon. This rating can be S , A , B , C , D , or E (in order from most to least bonus for the associated stat). For more information about the scaling as a whole and its values visit the Scaling wiki page. The special attack attributes for a weapon are
W / X / Y / Z:
  • W is the Slow Poison attack
  • X is the Rapid Poison attack
  • Y is the VS. Kin attack
  • Z is the VS. Beasts attack
