Identified Corpses

  • List of corpses (bodies) you find throughout the Yharnam, belonging to story deceased NPCs or characters we know identity of. It does not contain characters you as a player killed but ones you found in the environment.

Lonely Old Woman

Alfred, Hunter of Vilebloods

Day Evening
  • Description: Like most other Yharnamites, she distrusts outsiders and will make a show of belligerence when you first meet her, but will nevertheless ask you if you know of any safe places where she can take refuge during the coming night's hunt. After she brings back the seventh jar of Sedatives, speak to her again and select, "I have my share of woes," then reload the area. You'll find her lying dead outside the chapel near the well, clutching one last jar of Sedatives. Skipping this step or answering, "No" to the prompt will prevent her death, in which case she will remain at the chapel with the other refugees.

  • Location: Cathedral Ward Oedon Chapel [Night / Blood Moon], near the well outside

  • Interaction: Loot Sedative
  • Description: Alfred is a member of the Executioners, an order of hunters affiliated with the Healing Church. He is on a mission to assassinate the Vileblood queen and free the Executioners' former leader, Logarius, from eternal stewardship of the castle's seal.

  • Location: Cathedral Ward Lower Chapel [Night / Blood Moon], found dead in his starting location at the altar outside of the lower chapel; at this point his quest is complete and no further interaction are possible.

  • Interaction: Loot Radiance Caryll Rune

Young Girl Older Sister

Viola

Day Evening
  • Datamined in-game model of Young Girl Older Sister corpse face.

  • Description: Older daughter of Viola and Gascoigne. If you sent younger daughter to the chapel and which results in her being eaten by the Maneater Boar, Older Daughter will appear in their house during the Blood Moon, give her the Red Messenger Ribbon. Once you return you find that she fell to her death.

  • Location: Central Yharnam Canal Residence [Blood Moon], at the bottom of the nearby ladder.

  • Interaction: Loot White Messenger Ribbon
  • Datamined in-game model of Viola's corpse face.

  • Description: Viola wife to Father Gascoigne. Description of Red Jeweled Brooch reads; A woman's bright-red brooch, engraved with the name Viola. Perhaps the jewel is a gift from a hunter. As you will talk to her younger daughter she will tell you: "Daddy never came back from the hunt and she went to find him, but now she’s gone too I’m afraid."

  • Location: Central Yharnam, on the small rooftop in Tomb of Oedon (Father Gascoigne boss area).

  • Interaction: Loot Red Jeweled Brooch

Gratia

Watchman of Byrgenwerth

Day Evening
  • Datamined in-game model of Gratia's corpse, made by AstralLace.

  • Description: The hulking hunter woman Simple Gratia, ever hopeless when handling hunter firearms, preferred to knock the lights out of the beasts with this hunk of iron, which incidentally caused heavy stagger. Gratia was a fearsome hunter, and to onlookers, her unrelenting pummeling appeared oddly heroic. No wonder the weapon later assumed her name.

  • Location: Hunter's Nightmare, from Underground Corpse Pile, right wing cell further down the hallway.

  • Interaction: Loot Fist of Gratia
  • Description: Willem kept two loyal servants back at Byrgenwerth. When they were sent into the labyrinth, they encountered the eldritch Truth, and went mad. One became the password gatekeeper, while Dores became a graveguard of the forest. Both remained loyal, even in madness. Note found in Cathedral Ward: A watchman of Byrgenwerth guards the gate with a password, the sacred adage of the Grand Cathedral. Before passing through the gate you can prompt his dialogue: "The password... ...password... ...the password... ...knows I'm at the door and got to... ...got to close the door... ...got to close..."; "...oh no, no, no, someone at the door, got to get the door... ...let's get the door, let's get the door... ...who's there, who's there..."; "...don't you wish you could hear them when they're coming... ...you musn't... ...oh, no, no... ...it bit me, bit me... ...he was bleeding..."; "...oh no, no, no, he was bleeding, he wasn't... ...knock... ...no, no, no, not like that, not that, no, no, no..."; "...gotta get the door, must get the door, no, no, no, knock, knock, knock, all day, knock, knock, knock, knock all day, all day, all day, all day..."

  • Location: Cathedral Ward on Forbidden Woods path

  • Interaction: Prompt text "Already dead" and loot Madman's Knowledge

Micolash, Host of the Nightmare

Arianna, Woman of Pleasure

Day Day
  • Description: Micolash, was another Scholar, as evidenced by the tattered Byrgenwerth uniform he wears. The School of Mensis, run by Micolash, acted to serve as a replacement for Byrgenwerth for the Radicals. School was built in a hidden, unseen and protected village named Yahar’gul, located near the Cathedral Ward. However Micolash was most certainly loyal to Laurence at the beginning, as he continued the studies of the Great Ones in Willem's place for the new Church.

  • Location: Yahar'gul, Unseen Village (Blood Moon), in the small room past the Advent Plaza Lamp

  • Interaction: Inspecting the mummy will cause you to be transported to Lecture Building 2F.
  • Description: Arianna living in the Cathedral Ward of Yharnam; the Lady of the Night mistakes the Hunter for a potential customer and sends them away, telling them that she takes Hunts off. Once you have defeated Vicar Amelia (or the Witch of Hemwick, the Blood-starved Beast) you can convince Arianna to seek shelter in Oedon Chapel. Her elegant appearance belies a personality as blunt as a bludgeon, and her very blood bears striking similarities to that which was once forbidden by the Healing Church. Once Adella arrives at the chapel, she will become jealous of Arianna and kill her after you receive blood from her five times in Adella's presence.

  • Location: Cathedral Ward, Oedon Chapel

  • Interaction: Loot Arianna's Shoes

Adella, Nun of the Healing Church

Kos

Evening Evening
  • Description: Speak to her in Yahar'gul, Storeroom (Evening) while wearing Healing Church clothing, but tell her about neither the clinic nor the chapel. She'll try returning to the Cathedral Ward, ending her quest. After killing Shadows of Yharnam in Forbidden Woods you can find her corpse on the Main Street on path to Tonitrus treasure in Yahar'gul, Unseen Village.

  • Location: Yahar'gul, Unseen Village Main Street

  • Interaction: Loot Oedon Writhe +1
  • Description: Diseased Great One. Kos Parasite description: When the carcass of Kos washed up on the coast, its insides were teeming with tiny parasites, unlike any found in humans.

  • Location: Fishing Hamlet the Coast

  • Interaction: None
