Rotted Corpse ❘ 腐乱死体	Regular Enemy

Description Rotting remains of drowned scourge victims that aren't quite dead, these slow-moving enemies have little ability to attack and aren't much of a threat, even in large numbers. That said, don't take them lightly - rushing blindly into a group can still lead to the situation getting out of hand. Rotted Corpses can only attack the area directly in front of them; they'll use a slow, short-range vomit projectile, a quick overhead slam and a shove combo, but not much else. They can be hard to spot, because they are always partly submerged in stagnant water and are motionless until you approach; pay careful attention to your surroundings in these situations to avoid ambushes. Strategy Stay behind them or to their sides; from these positions you can beat them to death with R1 chains at little risk to yourself. Sweeping horizontal swings such as the Hunter Axe's L2 and charged R2 attacks in transformed mode are very effective for eliminating large groups; if you have no choice but to fight them head-on, use jump attacks from outside their reach to prevent them from hitting you as you approach. Notes Preset Dungeons: Hintertomb, Lower Hintertomb, Isz Gravestone All enemies and bosses (except hunter enemies) have 999 frenzy resistance, despite that they are still vulnerable to such status. The only way to see it without modding is to use Shaman Bone Blade on enemy inflicting frenzy to attack others. [test video]

Pungent Blood Cocktails don't attract this enemy, making the item ineffective. Shaman Bone Blades affect this enemy, making it hostile to other enemies.
