Hunter Blunderbuss ❘ 獣狩りの散弾銃

Left Hand Weapon

In-Game Description

A blunderbuss created at the workshop for the hunters' line
    of work.

Hunter firearms are specially crafted to employ Quicksilver
Bullets fused with the wielder's own blood, boosting damage
    against beasts.

The impact of this highly-effective weapon counters beasts'
swift movements, and its wide spread is nigh-on guaranteed
    to hit the mark.
Note 1: The same in-game description in US & UK versions. ✓

Overview

  • This standard gun is used by hunters to fell the beasts. It fires like a shotgun, and its primary role is to reduce the mobility of the enemy. It’s also highly effective and easy to land a hit. The Hunter Blunderbuss is commonly used as a crowd control weapon, due to its ability to hit various targets with only one shot.
  • Blunderbuss-type firearms do more damage than pistols when close to the target and less when farther away. The bullets spread out, making it easier to hit quick enemies. Blunderbuss shots also have a stronger impact than bullets fired from pistols. If you have 27 bloodtinge or less, Ludwig's Rifle is stronger than the Hunter Blunderbuss. From 28 to 32 bloodtinge their damage is the same, and from 33 bloodtinge onward the Hunter Blunderbuss is stronger.
  • Testing: Blunderbuss cannot parry from farther distances even though you get hit with bullet spread, meaning Blunderbuss can only parry from mid to close distance. There are 15 hitboxes for the pellets, each has same properties and does not have falloff damage unlike pistols.
