Basic Information

  • Players who can Overkill an enemy will gain a bonus of ~20% Blood Echoes, making farming weaker enemies more profitable.

Conditions

  • You must be able to do greater than 150% of the target's max HP in one attack.
  • Doesn't matter if the target has full health or not. (e.g. you damaged an enemy for half its HP, then do a 150% hit, and you'll still get the overkill bonus).
  • Damage must be done in a single hit. Visceral attacks counts as single hit, even though they have 2 stages.
  • Combos don't count as a single hit. This includes multi-hits from weapons like Logarius Wheel and Whirligig Saw.
  • Status effects can't trigger overkill.
  • Fall damage (kicking enemies off cliff) can't trigger overkill.
  • Overkill is unachieveable on bosses.

General Tips

  • Using Beast Blood Pellet will increase your attack power for 60 seconds. While under their influence, each successive hit will build up your beast gauge. Your physical attack power will increase depending on how much you fill your beast gauge; but be warned that your defense will fall as well.
  • Slotting Blood Gems into your weapons will allow you to blast through the weaker enemies especially with gems from depth 5 Chalice Dungeons.
  • Hit staggered enemies or counter attack them to maximize your damage.
