Basic Information

  • Some enemies you'll encounter will have glowing red eyes, and this not only makes them appear more threatening, it actually strengthens them. Red-eyed enemies have greater attack power than their normal counterparts, and those you'll come across in Old Yharnam also have the ability to inflict Slow Poison when their attacks connect. Red Eyes Old Hunters in Hunter's Nightmare will drop Vermin first time you killed them.

Ashen Blood Beast Patient Effect


  • Enemies in Ashen Blood Beast Patient's shriek vicinity get buff visually represented by the Red Eyes. In Old Yharnam affected enemies have stronger attacks, get Slow Poison property for them and HP boost. This effect is lost when enemies gets too far away or Ashen Blood Beast Patient is killed, in the latter it takes around 10 seconds for the effect to be lost. Exception are the Scourge Beasts who additionally gets idle animation that recovers their HP and effect is permanent. One that is in the cave with Blood-starved Beast in Hunter's Nightmare will shriek only once providing 3 Beast Patients (Male) with initial buff that wears off in about 20 seconds.

Old Hunters Super Armor


  • Enemies Old Hunter (Beast Cutter & Blunderbuss), Old Hunter (Beasthunter Saif) and Old Hunter (Boom Hammer & Torch) with red eyes have higher Super Armor value (65) than their regular version (35).
