Hunter of Hunters

Covenant

Description

These watchmen admonish those who have become addled
with blood. Be they men or beasts, anyone who has
threatened the pledgers of the "Hunter" oath surely has an
    issue with blood.

Online Factional Conflict

  • Your Oath Memory Slot marks your factional alignment. There are four possible Oath types: 'Corruption' for Vileblood, 'Radiance' for Executioner, 'Hunter' for Hunter of Hunters, and 'None'. Executioner and Vileblood are naturally opposed to each other, and Hunter of Hunters has a set chance to oppose players with any of affiliations. By using the Sinister Resonant Bell, you have a 5% chance of becoming a "Blood Addled" Hunter, which is in opposition to Hunter of Hunters. If you attempt to join a co-op session as a guest and the host is a member of an opposing faction, you will instead be summed with the task of killing the host as a nemesis. For example, if you bear the Radiance Rune and the server's matchmaking pairs you with a player bearing Corruption, you will be summoned as a nemesis, even if you intended to join co-op play! Similar to using the Sinister Resonant Bell, the rewards for killing the host are 10% of the Blood Echoes they require to level up and 1 point of Insight.

Information

  • Player belongs to the covenant when Hunter "Oath" Caryll Rune is equipped.

Blood Addled Status

  • Blood Addled status is applied at a 5% chance when ringing the sinister bell. The player does not need to invade or kill another player to become flagged. One can ring the sinister bell over and over again and become Blood Addled.
  • Blood Addled status is cleared when killing a boss as a cooperator.
  • Blood Addled status is not cleared by hosting a cooperator and killing the boss.
  • Blood Addled status is not cleared in NG+.
  • Player will not become Blood Addled by killing NPCs in the story mode.
  • Player will not become Blood Addled by a Sinister Bell Maiden spawning in a Nightmare area or Co-Op. If invaded this way, killing the invader the player will not become Blood Addled.

Notes

  • To host PvP with the beckoning bell using the Hunter Oath Rune, host must be "Blood Addled".
  • When connecting via Small Resonant Bell to a host with the Hunter Rune equipped, both Executioners and Vilebloods will enter the world as an adversary, the message "Discovered the chime of a Beckoning Bell, but the beckoner is a Vileblood/Executioner, and thus an adversary" appearing shortly before.
  • By using any password, the game will connect a player with the Radiance, Corruption or Hunter Rune only to a host suitable to become an adversary (or any host with a matching password as usual).
