In-Game Description A large solid chunk that forms in coldblood. After death, a substance in the blood hardens, and that which does not crystalize is called a blood stone. This is no mere chunk, it is nearly a boulder. Few blood stones of such size have ever been discovered, even considering the combined experience of all the hunters. Note 1: The same in-game description in US & UK versions. ✓ Note 2: Original Japanese text on Original Japanese Item Index page. ✓ Overview Only a single Blood rock can be picked up in the main game (other one is in the Fishing Hamlet DLC area), and it is the one you can pick up in the Nightmare of Mensis; three others can also be acquired by opening large sarcophagus chests in each type of the depth 5 root Chalice Dungeons. Once you've picked those up, you're only other options are to try and get one to drop from depth 5 Chalice Dungeon bosses or, after defeating Mergo's Wet Nurse in the main game, you can also acquire them through Insight Trade for 60 Insight per Rock. Use this material on the weapon you use most often, and ideally on a weapon that benefits greatly from maximum attack power. Availability Treasure in (Main Story): Nightmare of Mensis; Mergo's Loft: Middle on a corpse next to Middle Bridge behind the Crumbled Wall where Brain of Mensis was.
