The old armor in Chalice Dungeons is from Cainhurst

  • made by street_ronin | source
  • The armor in the Chalice Dungeons of Bloodborne is actually found elsewhere in the game... Cainhurst, in some of the portaits on the walls. Presumably this means Cainhurst has also made forays into the labyrinth, much like the Healing Church.
  • This seems to suggest that much like the Healing Church, ancient Cainhurst sent adventurers into the labyrinths as well to either pillage or research (probably pillage, considering the full suits of armor, shields, and swords). This armor specifically seems old, as most of the portraits are wearing the more recent Knight's Clothes or Cainhurst Armor (both obtainable in the game), which seems to suggest that this suit of armor was not in use for some time.
